Culturelink facilitates intercultural training workshops. Our goal is to help business people become more effective communicators by developing Cultural Intelligence (CQ). Firstly our trainers teach you how to develop CQ. As a result, you learn to analyse and adapt your communication techniques to achieve your goals. Whether you are working in a multicultural team or generally working across cultures, CQ can help you avoid frustrating and time-consuming miscommunication. In conclusion, you will learn to adapt a presentation depending on whether the listener is an Italian, a Brazilian or a Qatari.
Methodology for intercultural training workshops
Culturelink uses experiential learning methods to ensure that the learner, “learns by doing”. Firstly, we create activities through role-plays and simulations. Secondly, the on-line classes include quizzes and videos to test the learner’s knowledge. Thirdly, we place the learner in situations that replicate their personal settings. In turn, they create a strategy to deliver goals according to the culture to be dealt with.
Cultural Profiles
Participants use an on-line tool, “Country Navigator” to create their own cultural profile. This profile is used to determine each individual’s preferred methods of communication and behaviour.
Our Intercultural Training Workshops
Culturelink offers bespoke training seminars and workshops that vary from one-on-one sessions to group workshops. That is to say, sessions can be face-to-face, virtual or “blended”, using a mixture of virtual class sessions and an e-learning platform. Most importantly, we create intercultural training workshops to assist culturally diverse virtual teams become high performing. Below is a list of the most common training courses offered:
Learners
The intercultural training workshops offered can be for leaders who manage global teams or individuals working in multicultural teams. Another type of workshop that we offer is for expatriates travelling to a country they do not know to help them overcome culture shock and learn to live and work in that country without too much agony. Country-specific courses help inbound and outbound expatriates and their spouse prepare appropriately to integrate their new home country.
Preparation diminishes the negative impact of culture shock and allows for a less painful integration.
