“Teaming is a verb"created by blending two individual words, thriving teams. "It is a dynamic activity largely determined by the mindset and practices of teamwork."
The Teamscape™ workshop brings individuals of a team together to discuss what culture they want to work in. The four dimensions discussed are:
- interaction
- resources
- decision making
- problem analysis
Prior to the workshop, individuals of the team fill in the Teamscape™ survey so that during the workshop all team members' preferences are discussed. As a result the team chooses which are the best practices to move forward with to create a thriving team. Creating a "teaming" culture helps each individual become stronger which in turn creates better collaboration that leads to achieving goals.
Each team's culture has to be written by the team itself and not by the executives hoping to attract new employees. It is the team itself that knows what the communication or decision-making preferences of each individual are and therefore it is the team itself that needs to come up with its favourite and most successful way of moving forward in a collaborative manner.
The one-day Teamscape™ workshop follows three steps:
- Teamscaping: Identifying differences and similarities that impact our individual teaming behaviours and experiences.
- Transformative Dialogue: A guided conversation about:
- Experiences and dynamics
- Gaps, blind spots, and traps in our teaming
- Strategies to improve collaborative performance
- Prototyping: Specifying, visualising, and structuring how the group will take teaming and collaboration to the next level … day to day!
