The Working in Qatar blended learning Course
The three-module, "Working effectively in Qatar" blended learning course is designed for anybody wishing to improve their business communication while working in Qatar. Communication is a set of codes or patterns and being able to understand the patterns of different cultures is not simple. Therefore, in this course, we'd like to give you a head start and show you how to be more effective when working in Qatar by learning some of the cultural codes valued in the country.
Is the "Working in Qatar" course for you?
Do you need a contract signed? Are your emails not being replied to as quickly as you'd like? Do you have Qatari colleagues with whom you need to build a trustful relationship? Maybe you just want to learn more about Qatari communication techniques because you plan to be there for a while. To sum up, this course will help you learn to adapt or modify your communication to reach your goals with your Qatari counterparts.
Course Content
The course content focuses on understanding how the cultural values in Qatar might influence the way business is done there. One of the main areas we look at is cultural self-awareness. This means each participant will think about their own personal communication and behaviour. By understanding how we communicate personally we can analyse how those working with us perceive us. Secondly, we interpret how they might interpret our message according to their cultural filters. Finally learn to adapt our communication and behaviour to make our message clearer.

Each course is comprised of three modules. Courses will only take place with a minimum of six (6) participants and a maximum of eight (8).
